Our Start
Lisa Berger, a former epidemiologist with the MA Department of Public Health responsible for investigating foodborne illnesses and founder of Berger Food Safety Consulting, and Eileen Hicks, a career food service leader with deep operational experience in nutrition and safety, started Relavent Systems in 2018 to use their passion, commitment, and expertise to restore consumer confidence in food safety and food service establishments.
Leveraging their expertise in food service and food safety consulting, the team quickly expanded to include other believers with deep experience in technology development, operations, and finance. This unique and powerful combination of skill sets and passion drives Relavent’s mission to deliver modern, portable, and easy-to-use tools to those working on the last mile of food safety—where food is received, stored, prepared, and served.
With the successful launch of FoodCode-Pro, we’re setting our sites on the food safety challenges faced by food establishments with FoodSafetyOS.
